The WhoDB Roadmap (2024-07-22): What’s Coming Next
Welcome to the WhoDB roadmap! We're excited to share our upcoming plans and provide a glimpse into the future of WhoDB. Our aim is to continually innovate and enhance your experience.
Recently Released Features
First, let's highlight some recent additions:
- Dynamic Filters: We have added database filters that are generated using the existing table data. Additionally, you can visually chain them instead of having to write everything manually.
- Dark Mode: A small but necessary feature. We know you like it.
- Additional databases added: MariaDB, ClickHouse, Elasticsearch
- Various bug fixes and small UI enhancements.
Thank you for the community and their suggestions! 🤗
Upcoming Features
Here are some exciting updates you can expect soon:
- Add functionality
- Release: End of July 2024
- Benefits: Add new rows to table
- Delete functionality
- Release: End of July 2024
- Benefits: Delete rows from table
- Sign prebuilt executable
- Release: End of August 2024
- Benefits: Like you, we do not like seeing Windows flag our executable as unsafe. Thus we are working on signing it to make it a smoother experience.
We're working hard to deliver these features on schedule.
Long-term Vision
Looking further ahead, we have ambitious plans including:
- More database support: ALL OF THEM 💃
- Detailed Graph UI: Currently the graph UI is great but it feels more like a read-only type of feature. We want to make it even more useful for you.
- API Gateway: A way to connect and query multiple data sources with one API.
- Introduce AI-powered features: We would like to supercharge your workflows with non-invasive AI features that can help you optimize your data, prevent data loss, and provide actionable insights into your data. Stay tuned!
